The idea of having your own soho business is something you have probably thought about, but you may be wondering if it is something that you can really do. Can you really make money working at home?

The idea can seem extremely intimidating. There are so many what ifs. What if I choose the wrong business? What if I don't have the self discipline. What if I don't get customers?

1. First of all, you can do anything you put your mind to. So, you do have to decide to do it, you have to be determined and you have to be clear that this is what you want to do.
   

2. Secondly, to find the right soho business you just need to do a little research. Find out about the company you are looking into. How long have they been in business? What kind of compensation plan do they have? What kind of support is offered by the company. Talk to others who are in the business.

3. The third thing I want to talk about is self discipline. This is the reason you have to make up your mind about your soho business. Treat it like a "regular job". Make a plan as to what you are going to do each day and stick to it. With the right soho business you should be able to work with others in your group to help you design a daily or weekly plan that will work for you.

   This brings us to customers. There are many options when you want to attract customers to your soho business. There are many old school methods such as flyers, signs, ads, and leads, but these can become very expensive and time consuming for such a small return. So far the best way I have found to get customers is to buy them.

I don't have to buy leads or ads or run around putting flyers on cars and then wait for the calls to come in. Calls from people who may be serious or not and then spend a bunch of time convincing them that what I have they need. Not that there is anything wrong with that method, but it is so much easier to simply buy a customer who is already buying the product I want to market to them and make money off of what ever they are buying.
